Mainfreight Cold Storage Facility – Melbourne Airport

CABL Electrical delivered the electrical services package for an 5,000m² purpose-built freezer, fridge, and ambient cold storage facility, incorporating large-scale logistics operations and commercial office spaces within the Melbourne Airport precinct.

Delivered under a Design & Construct model, the project required close collaboration, detailed planning, and strict adherence to airport compliance and operational standards.

CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

The facility includes an 800kVA onsite generator complete with Automatic Transfer Switch and intelligent load shedding, ensuring critical refrigerated storage systems remain operational during power interruptions.

Working within Melbourne Airport’s regulated construction environment, CABL Electrical successfully coordinated with project stakeholders to deliver the works safely, efficiently, and on program.
